At Brandenburch, we understand the business needs of the professional animal feed industry. For over 40 years, we have been producing and supplying top-quality animal. We do this by extruding vegetable ingredients into highly digestible pet food. First priority always being the animal’s health and growth. For a better environment.

We go beyond a wide basic range of extrudates and flakes. Our GMP+-certified production process is well thought-out. This gives us the freedom to compose and develop our own product, together with our customers. We innovate together. And always aim for the best composition, colour and shape.

Plantbased focused

At Brandenburch, our core business is producing the best plant-based feed for animals. Because we care about animal welfare. And because we want to get the most out of plant-based raw materials. So we have practically no residual products; they go back into the process. A small residual flow goes to a biodigester, which converts it into green gas. So animals, humans, and the environment all benefit from our plant-based animal feed.

We do what we do because we believe it is the right thing to do. For animals, people and the environment. We could never do this without input from our customers. They have the knowledge of the animals. And Brandenburch has the expertise in the production process, the ingredients and the possibilities. In addition to our standard range, we produce speciality products. The name says it all. Specially tailored pet food, customized to the client’s specifications. This is available in smaller batches starting at 2,500 kg. Larger quantities are of course also possible; our customer decides.

Animals are just like people. They eat what they like. Brandenburch’s aim is to produce the best kibble using a recipe based on plant-based ingredients. We want to make the most of the nutritional value, so that the animal feels good. We do this through extrusion. The shape has to be right, too. The consumer’s eye matters too. And speaking of that: colour! Brandenburch works mainly with natural colorants. And let’s not forget the taste, otherwise we’re back to square one.

Brandenburch specialises in extruding plant-based ingredients into high-quality pet food. In this process, protein and fiber products are processed and shaped into extrudates (kibbles, chunks, or animal snacks). The process ensures that the food is digestible and contains all the nutrients the animal needs.

Kevin says: “When I started at Brandenburch, I had absolutely no idea what was involved in the development and production of pet food. I just went with the flow and kept an open mind toward new things. This allowed me to grow into the person I am today. As a process operator and all-round shift supervisor, I’m responsible for starting up the machines, adjusting the production process and solving technical issues.”
